“Haunted Land” by Dacia Manto & Patrizia Giambi
June 8th – August 3rd, 2013
At this exhibition Italian Artists Patrizia Giambi and Dacia Manto are premiering their works in Miami Florida, to commemorate the Year of Italian Culture in the United States.
The concept of the show is to explore space; both internal and external.
This is the Land where the experience of being and knowing opens your eyes, mind and heart to a visionary life. A full vision of Life is more than what we usually see. With a wide opened mind we may see that words create our world.
We may also see the connection between our linear world as we know it and the unexperienced world.
The occasion of showing two female artists’ vision leads us to a deeper thought process about the relationship between power and creativity in the present world. Patrizia and Dacia are both in their mid-career. Patrizia Giambi has extensively exhibited in the U.S. with Shoshana Wayne and Sue Spaid in L.A., Zolla Lieberman in Chicago as well as in Museums such as the Santa Monica Museum of Art and Contemporary-Baltimore Museum of Art. Dacia Manto works are part, among others, of the permanent collection of the MART Contemporary Museum in Italy. The two Artists are also exhibited at MAXXI in Rome.
The show was curated by Anna Mylashevych and guest curator Sabrina Benvenuti
